Please Help the McKinsey Family
Please help this loving family recover once again from the tragic loss of a child. If you can not help, maybe you know someone who can.

The McKinsey Family Story:
At the tender age of 26, no married couple should have to suffer as many losses as the McKinsey family. On May 15, 2010, Evan Navarro was born in to Heaven at 21 weeks 3 days gestation weighing 14.5 oz & 10.5" long. This happened because of an incompetent cervix (the cervix cannot support the weight of the pregnancy).
Unfortunately, this is not Brandi & David's first loss. In August of 2007, their identical twin boys were born still due to being nonviable conjoined twins. After this loss, Brandi & David struggled with infertility & tried medical intervention to get pregnant. Not being successful in their attempts, they were ready to resign themselves to God & adopt a baby.
One last attempt with medical intervention yielded them another pregnancy & rejoicing in God's light, they were so excited. Once again, this pregnancy did not make it to term. Brandi miscarried in the 1st trimester in November 2009.
Going forward with adoption, Brandi & David had a home study completed in January 2010 & were approved immediately for adoption. They started the long process. During this time, it was God's will for the McKinsey's to once again find themselves expecting a miracle. The pregnancy started roughly but smoothed out for a time. Both were able to enjoy Evan kick & move. They planned the nursery for 2 babies, Evan & their soon to be adopted son whom they would call Brewer.
Things took a turn for the worse on May 13th. Brandi started spotting & immediately went to Labor & Delivery. There she found out that Evan's bag of water was bulging. He was half way in to the birth canal & there was not much hope that he would last long enough to have a fighting chance at life.
After a courageous two day battle, Brandi became very ill with pneumonia & a partially collapsed lung. There was only one way to make her better, deliver Evan. Holding on to those last precious moments feeling him moving, the decision was made. At 3:45 pm, Evan was born.
4 losses, 3 stillborns & 1 miscarriage. Barely married 3 years & for a couple to have to endure this, it is just not the way things are suppose to be. Paying for yet another funeral for a child that should be in their home playing, to bury a child, is not the natural order of life.
Thank you all for your donations!!!

Kino MacGregor Weekend Workshop at The Yoga Shala in Winter Park, Florida
May 22-23, 2010
Saturday May 22
May 22-23, 2010
Saturday May 22
10 AM - 12 PM Guided Full Primary
2 - 4 PM Workshop: Inversions, Handstanding & the Art of Balance: Turning yourself upside down challenges the body’s sense of spatial orientation, the limits of physical strength and the mind’s outer edges of fear. In this class you will learn to approach inversions with sound anatomical principles, an open mind, excitement and fun. You will experience first hand that it takes much more than brute strength to steady yourself on your hands. You will see how easy it really is to let yourself slide into postures, positions and inversions that you think are impossible with just the slightest change of perspective. Everything from shoulderstand to downward dog to handstand is part of the game.
Sunday May 23
8 AM - 10AM Mysore Style
12 PM - 2 PM Workshop: Lengthen the Hamstrings, Relax the Hips: Unlock the secret to open hips and long hamstrings and solve the riddle of these two seemingly incorrigible areas of the body. Without your hamstrings and hips in place the yoga practice sometimes feels like a dead end with no hope in sight. Turn that thought around in this fun, practical approach to working with your legs, hips and pelvis. This workshop gives you the foundation for healthy forward bending, easy hip rotation and a new understanding of your legs. Delve into the inner world with solid anatomical explanations, easy-to-apply techniques and in-depth understanding.
Kaiden May 9th-20th
I hope you enjoy these pictures of Kaiden :) They were taken between May 9th and May 20th. He is such an amazing little baby. He's very healthy, really sweet, and down right gorgeous :) I feel so very blessed to have him in my life; I want to be the best mother I can be to him so he can grow up knowing that he can do anything he sets his mind to!
