The Yoga Shala - Orlando's Ashtanga Yoga School: tons of fun

A pretty leisurely day…Had a small breakfast at Tina’s, spent a bit of time with John, went to my dance class, headed to the city to see the progress of my bags and ship some items, came home and showered, and met up with Jake, Joyce, Mani, and Erin at coconut stand so we could head out to the lake nearby Chamundi hill.

It was beautiful there – and we were in for a special treat – we got the opportunity to enjoy a boat ride – it was a swan boat that you maneuvered with your feet – Erin and I peddled for the first ten minutes, then Mani took Erin’s place and we finished the last twenty minutes. I quickly learned that peddling too fast causes water to come into the boat and hit the ‘drivers’ with water – needless to say my bum got soaked more than once – I couldn’t help it I was really excited to peddle the boat with my feet (and while I did peddle the entire time – no one else really cared to – so I wasn’t a ‘peddle’ hog or anything ;) The weather was lovely, and the view gorgeous. We all seemed to have a grand ole time at the lake today – got some great photos too! Afterwards Mani dropped the rest of us off at a Punjabi restaurant on Kalidasa road. I was Starving and impatient to get my food. Jake made fun of me and Joyce sympathized with me…I think I ate a bit too much, but hey, shit happens. I just got home – I am sitting on my bed regretting the last few bites of food I ingested – hope I don’t feel too heavy for practice tomorrow…Which is at 5am – Sharath informed us on Friday that there is only one class tomorrow – led primary at 5am L no more led second on Sundays. Can’t say I’m too upset about it – but after a few weeks of it – I got a little attached…I plan to hit the sack soon - hope to get good nights sleep.
